Tribal Consultation Plan
A Tribal consultation is a formal, two-way, government-to-government dialogue between official representatives of Tribes and the MRMPO. This plan details the process on how the MRMPO will discuss proposals with the Tribes before the MRMPO makes decisions on those proposals. The MRMPO acknowledges some of the land within its boundaries are Tribal Ancestral lands or other land that may hold cultural, historical, spiritual, and/or ceremonial significance to a Tribe, and the MRMPO wishes to have a formal dialogue with the Tribes.
